A lifelong member of Asbury C.M.E. Church in Somerville, under the leadership of Pastor Robert Key. Fannie was deeply committed to her church community, where she served as the superintendent of the Sunday church school, a member of the choir, and contributed to the building fund. Her devotion to her church and its mission was a testament to her enduring spirit and love for her community.
Fannie was a proud graduate of the Fayette County Public School System. After completing her education, she devoted over thirty-five years of her life to serving customers at Walmart Corporation.
Fannie was the Past Worthy Matron for the Order of Eastern Star, P.H.A. Jurisdiction of Tennessee (formerly Morning Beauty #140), now Queen Esther #66.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her children, George (Paula) Holt, Christopher (Cassandra) Holt, Gwendolyn (Minister Sandy) Gooden, and a legacy that extends to six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Her siblings James Holt and Clementine Pollard.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee and Heneretta Hunt-Holt, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable person she became.
Funeral services for Fannie Cornelia Holt will be held on December 13, 2025, at Divine Purpose Church in Arlington, Tennessee, beginning at 12:00 PM, with a concluding service at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life and the lasting impact she made on those around her.
