Mary Bell Keath

Mary Bell, a cherished member of the Somerville community and devoted dietician, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born on January 28, 1949, in Somerville, Tennessee, Mary’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, her career, and her faith.

Mary attended Fayette County Public Schools, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and care for others. She pursued her profession with great dedication, working as a dietician at the Arlington Developmental Center until her retirement. Her work was characterized by a compassionate approach to health and nutrition, and she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and those she served.

A proud and active member of Wesley C.M.E. Church, Mary faithfully served on the Mother's Board, contributing her time and energy to the spiritual and communal growth of the church family. Her commitment to this role was among the proudest accomplishments of her life, reflecting her deep faith and desire to nurture others.

Mary is survived by her two loving daughters, Wanda Keath and Yulanda Keath-Springfield, who carry forward her legacy of strength and kindness. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family that includes five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her enduring presence and warm spirit.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charlie and Nonie McFerren Keath, and her son, James Keath. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew Mary and shared in her life journey.

The community will gather to honor Mary's life and legacy at a Funeral Service held at Mabone Funeral Home, located at 1435 Teague Store Rd, Somerville, TN, 38068. on Wednesday the Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:45 pm The service will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM. in the Mary Lee Mabone Memorial Chapel.

Mary Bell K’s life was a testament to dedication, faith, and love. She touched many lives with her kindness and commitment, and her memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
