It is with deep respect and heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life of Rosie Mae Griggs, who passed away on May 29, 2006. Born on December 24, 1951, in Saulsbury, Tennessee, Rosie Mae devoted her life to her family and her work, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Rosie was employed as a packer at Ringcan, where she demonstrated diligence and commitment. Her work ethic and dedication were a testament to her character and the values she held dear throughout her life.

She is survived by a loving family who cherished her deeply. Rosie Mae’s legacy continues through her son, Willie Griggs, and her daughter, Yvonne Golden, who is married to Gary Golden. She also leaves behind three brothers: Mack, Jack Hodge, and Willie Hodge. She was a beloved sister to Diane McNeil, Mary Hodge, and Louise Hunt. The family further extends with eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of Rosie Mae’s enduring spirit.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Rosie Mae Griggs’s life will be held on June 7, 2026, at Nollies M.B. Church, located at 10450 Feathers Chapel Drive, Oakland, Tennessee 38060. Rev. Larry Eaason Eulogist.

 Interment McCulley Cemetery Oakland, Tn.

 The service will begin at 1:00. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather to pay their respects and share their memories of a remarkable woman whose life touched so many.

Rosie Mae Griggs’s journey from her beginnings in Saulsbury to the loving matriarch she became is a profound story of commitment, family, and quiet strength. She will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew her.
